I want you to know that God’s desire is for you to know Him personally. God sent Jesus to the cross in order for mankind to know Him.
John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loved you so much that He gave His only begotten Son for you. If you have never made Jesus the Lord of your life, then you are separated from God by sin. You are the reason God sent Jesus to the cross.
Jesus came to earth as result of one thing: sin. Jesus died on the cross and went to hell to pay the price for your sin, rose triumphantly over Satan from the dead and settles the problem of sin once and for all. God does not hold your sin against you for He had made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for you. 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus became your substitute when He paid the price for your sin and it was recorded that the price for your sin has been paid for. However, you and only you can make the choice to accept what Jesus has done for you.
God has created you to be a free moral agent that can make choices. So, despite the sin price being paid for you already, you can still go straight to hell when you choose not to receive Jesus into your life.
Your choice is set before you!
But you can be born again by receiving Jesus into your life and receive a new person. Being born again is a spiritual rebirth. When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, you will be born of the Spirit of God by the Holy Spirit who was sent to earth to cause your spirit to be re-created and become new.
The bible gives specific instructions you need to follow in order to be born again in Romans 10: 8-11 The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Jesus said if you come to Him, he will not cast you away (John 6:37). No matter what you have done you can go to Jesus and He will accept you. He will re-create you and you will be accepted before God as if you have never sinned! So, to be born again, you use your mouth and you use your heart. First, you believe in your heart that God’s Word is true; then you confess it with your mouth because you believe it and you will be saved.
Salvation has nothing to do with how you feel; it has everything to do with what the bible says that you believe. You will have doubts sometimes after you made this decision, but it does not change the fact that God’s word is true. So, pray this prayer of salvation with me, say it from the depths of your being don’t just read and when you finish you will be born again
Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I come to you today, you said in your word that whosoever come to you, you will not cast away. I pray and ask Jesus to be Lord over my life. I believe it in my heart that Jesus is Lord and I say it now with my mouth that “Jesus has been raised from the dead.” This moment, I make Him the Lord over my life. Jesus, come into my heart. I believe this moment that I am saved, I say it now: “I am born again. I am a child of Almighty God.”
